A. Jack Bishop (03/10/1921 - 12/17/2011)

A loving husband, dad, granddad, and great-granddad passed away on Saturday. He was the son of Beryl and Glen Bishop. Jack was born in Sydney, Ohio, and grew up in Miles City, MT. He graduated from Custer County HS in 1939.

Jack's first job was in the Pharmacy in Miles City until enlisting in the US Army Air Corps in 1940, he was a WWII Vet having served in the South Pacific war zone.

He graduated with a degree in Pharmacy at Idaho State University, was a Phi Sigma Kappa President, Past Alumni President, and #1 Bengal Fan! He then worked at his uncle's drug store where he met his beloved Eve who he married in 1949.

Jack began a new career with Merck and Co. as a Pharmaceutical Rep. moving to Spokane in 1955 and retiring after 35 years. Jack was known for his clever wit and one-liner jokes. He loved people and treasured his many friendships. He was very active and deeply passionate in all that he did. He was loyal to all the many activities he joined some of which included; a true Scot he was a proud founding member of the Spokane Scottish Society, a drummer in the Angus Scot Pipe Band, Past Master of Masonic Lodge #272, an active member of Audubon Park United Methodist Church. He spent many years boating with the Coast Guard Auxiliary, he skied, was an avid golfer, he volunteered for the Spokane Food Bank and Visitors Bureau.
