Our mother was born August 16, 1922 in Huron, South Dakota. She passed away in Salt Lake City on April 22, 2013 at the age of 90. Claire lived a great life and was an avid golfer, winning several state golfing championships. She had six holes in one in her golf career, one in the 1979 State Amateur Championship and her last one at the age of 82. She is now with her past loved ones.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Jordan (Ted), and Sandy Gallegos (Ruben), 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Forrest Hurd. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fritz, daughter, Michelle Felis, granddaughter, Dena Burgess, great-granddaughter, Maquelle Madsen, two sisters and two brothers.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 29 at 11am at Lake Hills Memorial Park, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, with a visitation one hour prior to services inside the mortuary.
