Lyle Cornwall Bennion passed away at home in Salt Lake City on March 5, 1998 after an extended illness.
She was born March 28, 1923 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Charles Cornwall and Cleone Donalson and sister to Joan Cornwall Brant. She attended the University of Utah and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. On December 22, 1942 Lyle married Vaughn Lindsay Bennion in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a devoted wife and mother. During her life she traveled extensively with her husband, who was an executive with United Airlines. They lived in several cities throughout the United States until they retired and returned to Salt Lake City.
She was preceded in death by both parents and her grandson, Joshua Lindsay Bennion. Survived by her husband; son, Vaughn Ralph; and daughter, Kristin; as well as grandchildren, Tori, Keith and Jeremy.
Private graveside services will be held.
