DELL P. BEERS, a retired plumber; residing at 805 9th St., Lorain were he passed away on Feb. 26, 1944 from coronary occlusion due to arterialsclerosis, at 79 y, 9 m, 11 d. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain, OH.
Informant was son Charles living at home. He stated that Dell was born March 15, 1864 in Clarksfield, Ohio. His father was Lewis Beers born in Conn., mother unknown.

"DELL P. BEERS TAKEN BY DEATH

Dell P. Beers, retired plumbing contractor and oldest member of Lorain Black River Lodge No. 680 I.O.O.F, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home, 805 9th st. at 2 a.m. today, following an illness of only a few minutes.
The Lorain man would have celebrated his 80th birthday anniversary on March 16.
He was born in Clarksfield, O., and for 30 years was a plumbing contractor in Lorain, having retired several years ago.
He was chief patriarch of Lake Shore Encampment of the I.O.O.F. and was a member of the Master Plumbers' association.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Hal Boehler, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Henry Ramser of Wellington, two sons, Lewis of Sea Island, Ga., and Sgt. Delano Beers of Camp Shelby, Miss.; one brother, Perry Beers, in Clarksfield; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The body is at the J. Ford Thompson funeral home. It will be taken to the residence Sunday at 1 p.m. where services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. with the I.O.O.F. order in charge of Rev. J. H. Deemer, former pastor of the First Baptist church and a member of the lodge, will officiate. Burial will take place in the family lot in Elmwood cemetery.
