Imogene married 1) Jesse Byron Massey (1893-1957) on April 13, 1942. One stillborn child. She married 2) David C. Batte, Sr., in the 1970s. No children.

Imogene's Apple Cake
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 t. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
2 t. baking soda or 1 T baking powder
2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. ground cloves
1/2 t. nutmeg
3/4 c. water or applesauce
3 c. chopped apples
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. craisins or raisins
Toss apples with 5 T sugar and set aside. Combine other ingredients in order listed. Bake 45 minutes at 350 in bundt pan or 13 x 9 pan.
