Edwin L. Bartsch, for 30 years an employee of the Milwaukee Road, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Henry Kloeden, sr., early Monday morning. He had been in poor health for several years, and the extreme heat caused his death.

The deceased was born at Neda on July 27, 1881. He spent most of his life in this city, working on the railroad as brakeman.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon, Wednesday, from the Koepsell & Gruber funeral home. Burial will take place in Graceland cemetery, the Rev. Anton Hatlestad officiating.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to the neighbors and friends who offered their assistance during our late bereavement, the death and funeral of our beloved brother, Edwin L. Bartsch. We also thank those who sent flowers, those who furnished cars, the pallbearers, the singers, and the Rev. Anton Hatlestad.
