Iva Klipple Bartholme of Newton died Monday morning at Community Medical Center. She was the widow of Raymond Bartholme, who died in 1996.

Born in Ransom, daughter of the late John and Laura Courtright Klipple, she graduated from West Chester University.

Before retirement, she was a teacher for Newton High School and later a substitute teacher for Falls-Overfield. She was a member of Countryside Community Church and the Eastern Star Juanita Chapter 8 for more than 50 years, a Golden Star member.

Surviving are two sons, Neil and wife, Carol, and James, all of Newton; a daughter, Demy Archibald and husband, Warren, Lancaster; a sister, Cleta Leinbach and husband, Richard, Denver; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edmund Klipple.

The funeral will be Thursday at 10am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Dr. J.P. Duncan, pastor of Countryside Community Church. Interment, Milwaukee Cemetery.

Friends may call Wed, 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Countryside Community Church, 14001 Church Hill Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
