Mrs. Zeitz was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Trent Zeitz, Sr.; a son, Douglas Anthony Zeitz; three brothers, Tom, Edwin and George Henry Barr, Jr.; and two sisters, Lucille Stith and Lorena Barr. She is survived by six children, John Trent (Diana) Zeitz, Jr., Bradley D. (Yvonne) Zeitz, Carol J. (Wayne) Bachmann, all of Louisville, KY, Steven H. Zeitz, Guston, KY, Brian P. (Marsha) Zeitz, Hebron, KY, and Amy F. (Chris) Bailey, Shepherdsville, KY; seven grandchildren, Adam, Briana, Harper, Chloe, Grace, Abbey and Megan; two great grandchildren, Atticus and Easton; a brother, John Barr, Russell Springs, KY; and four sisters, Anna Catherine Knott, Brandenburg, KY, Bernadine Adkisson, Martha Nell Elder, both of Hardinsburg, KY, and Anita Bruner, Louisville, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday at St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church, with Rev. Robert Abel, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg, from 1-8 PM on Friday, and at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
