Mrs. Fannie J. Barnes, 76, wife of Robert Y. Barnes, 617 E. 22nd St., died early Wednesday morning at her home. She had been in failing health for three years but only seriously ill for a week. Mrs. Barnes was born in Flemingsburg, Ky., and had been a resident of Muncie for 45 years. She was a member of the South Side Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Meeks Mortuary with the Rev. R.E. Weed, pastor of the South Side Christian Church and the Rev. Dewey Hole of Gas City officiting. Burial will be in the family lot in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Thursday.
