MUNCIE--Linda E. Ellis, 96, of Muncie, died Saturday afternoon at Ball Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Flemingsburg, Ky., moved to Muncie as a child and attended Muncie schools.
Surviving are two sons, Bill Ellis (wife: Sandy), Muncie, and Dick Ellis (wife: Alfreta), Yorktown; five daughters, Martha Sipe (husband: Don), Albany, Anita Tomlin (husband: Tom), Muncie, Connie Foist (husband: Dee), Muncie, Judy Lindblom (husband: Dave), Hartford City, and Pam Smith (husband: Bob), Albany; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Thelma Puterbaugh, Daleville; her brother, Lloyd Barnes (wife: Marge), Blountsville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Ellis; four daughters, Imogene Falls, Virginia Moore, Jackie Ellis and Betty Neff; three sons, Bud Falls, Junior Falls and Fuzz Falls; a grandson; and a brother, Marvin Barnes.
Services will be in The Meeks Mortuary Chapel at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, with Rev. Ron Elam officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday or an hour before services Wednesday.
