Betty Lou was the only daughter of Richard Harrison and Clelia M. (Shupe) Banbury. She was born and raised in Pratt, Pratt County, Kansas.

Betty L. Grigg 1927 - 2009
Betty L. Grigg, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Sept. 29, 2009. She was 81.
Betty was born Oct. 16,1927, in Pratt, Kansas. She graduated from Pratt High School in 1945. She met and married the love of her life, J.C. Grigg. Betty worked at J.C. Penny's and also as a nurse's aide for some time.
In 1963, they moved to Simi Valley to raise their children. She and her family attended Grace Brethern Church. She loved to have people over for dinner and was best known for her great fried chicken. Betty enjoyed going to the lake and taking trips in their motor home. She also enjoyed her trips with her husband of 51 years to Whiskey Pete's. She will always be in our hearts and greatly missed.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Grigg; brother Dick Banbury; mother and father, Clelia and Richard Banbury. She is survived by her son, Steven Grigg; daughters, Karen Hendrix and Gail Lindop. Her grandchildren, Amanda and Jeremy Grigg; Alisha and Jason Hendrix; and daughter-in-law, Darlene Grigg.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, at Simi Valley Public Cemetery.
