THOMASVILLE--William E. Ball, 71, of Rt. 10, Lexington, died at City Memorial Hospital at 12:45 am today following three months of declining health. He was born in Randolph County, April 13, 1899, a son of George W. and Hannah Robbins Ball. He was a retired furniture worker, a carpenter and farmer. He was a member of Midway United Methodist Church and a member and teacher of the Men's Bible class of the church Sunday school. On April 11, 1920, he married Miss Clara Johnson, who survives of the home.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are five daughters,five sons, 25 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held Friday at 2 pm at Midway United Methodist Church by Rev. O.L. Hancock, Jr. and Rev. Hebert T. Penry, Jr. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
