Death Takes L. I. Baker

Luther Irvin Baker, 74, resident of Colusa since 1968 and brother-in-law of the late Mrs. Samuel Baker, who died last week, passed away at his home in Cooper's Extension at 8 o'clock this morning after a brief illness.
Baker leaves to mourn his passing the following brothers and sister: Samuel, Alfred and Herbert Baker of Colusa and Mrs. Hattie Boyd of Emeryville, and these nephews and nieces: Walter Baker and Mrs. Jessie Marish of San Francisco; Burris Baker of Colusa, Burris Baker of Grimes, Grover Baker of Colusa, Thadecius Baker of Yuba City, Dr. Harry Baker of Napa, Mrs. J. E. Parry of Grimes and Miss Mary Baker of Napa.
The body was taken in charge by Sullivan Brothers. Funeral arrangements are pending.
Late this afternoon it was announced that funeral services would be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Sullivan Brothers funeral home. Rev. E. T. Nesbit will officiate at the services for the colorful Colusa character.
