Leo Alphonsus Baker, Jr. was born on April 5, 1929 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Son of Leo Alphonsus Baker and Grace Mary Noel, he was the brother of Rita (Sister M. deRicci, IHM), Eugene, Paul Hugh, John Anthony, Joseph Edgar,Dorothy (Sister M. Gracette, IHM), Melvin James (Moe), Mary Louise, Robert, Janet Ann, Mary Grace; and three children who died in infancy: Mabel, Ellen Marie and Thomas. He was joined in marriage with Wilhelmina Jane "Billie" King on April 25, 1951, by Reverend Clark at a Baptist Church in Winchester, Virginia. Leo was serving in the US Army at the time of his wedding. He died on November 18, 1997 at the age of 68, and was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Altoona, PA.
