Graveside services were conducted in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery, November 24, for Opal C. Montgomery, age 90, rural Lizton, who died November 20, 1993 at her home there. Kenneth Leathers and Rev. Carol Fritz officiated. Porter Funeral Home at Jamestown was in charge of the arrangements.
Born May 19, 1903 in Union Township, Hendricks County, she was the daughter of George W. and Hattie (Vest) Bailey. She attended the Union Township Schools and on March 30, 1937, she married J. Russell Montgomery at the Methodist parsonage in Jamestown. He preceded her on Aug. 22, 1991. She and her husband were life-long farmers in Union Township. She was a member of the Lizton United Methodist Church and the Lizton Pythia Sisters.
She is survived by five nieces, Louvinia Roark and Narcissa Hocker, both of Lizton, Nellie Cooper of Colorado, G. L. Brewer of Texas and Barbara Mann of Speedway; great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
