Lessie Baham, age 87, of Gatesville passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 at a local nursing home.


Graveside services will be at 3:00p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Amiable Cemetery in Glenmora, Louisiana. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Gatesville Funeral Home.


Lessie was born on October 27, 1923 in Forrest Hill, Louisiana, Rapides 2 Parrish to the late William and Luella McGhee Strange. She grew up and went to school in Forrest Hill. She married Johnnie Baham in 1945. They resided in Houston, Bay City and Beaumont. Her husband, Johnnie, preceded her in death in 1978. She has resided in Gatesville since 1980. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Gatesville.


Lessie is survived by her daughter and husband of Gatesville; two sisters both of Glenmora, Louisiana; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
