Private Bacon died September 16 after being seriously wounded in action in Korea September 15. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Bacon, he was born September 2, 1927, at Harmony. He served from 1946 to 1949 and re-enlisted after his discharge.
Surviving are his parents; three brothers, Private First Class Donald, Camp Carson, Colo., a war casualty also; Laverne, in Navy training at Great Lakes, Ill., and Jerome, at home, and three sisters, Mrs. Donald Jacobson, Chatfield, and Donna and Marlene, at home.
