Marlene was born March 13, 1944, in Preston, to Clifford and Beatta Ruth (Olson) Bacon. She graduated from Preston High School.
Marlene married Larry Munroe on Nov. 21, 1964, in Chatfield.
Marlene worked at the Farm and Home Store in Rochester until 1966.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota. Marlene loved taking care of the farm yard, watching her grandsons sporting events, trips to the casinos, playing cards games with family and friends and cooking. She always wanted to make sure everyone was well fed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roger and Donald Bacon; and two sisters, Betty Jacobson and Donna Arnold.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, at Faith United Methodist in Eyota, with the Rev. Mark Woodward officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Eyota.
