Irene, 90, Vero Beach, died at Hospice of Vero Beach.

She was a daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Heuker) Backs. On Aug 30, 1941, she married Elmer Klosterman, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy (Thomas) Norman, Vero Beach and Donna (Kevin) Eisenman, Stratford, CN; three brothers, Charles, Coldwater, James, Jensen Beach, FL and Andrew, Hollywood, FL; six sisters, Marge VanDornvelt, Cedar Rapids, IA, Ruth Brown, Botkins, Delores Sowar and Sr. Barbara Jean Backs, both Dayton, Joan Wenning, St. Henry, and Barbara Monnig, Centerville; seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Deceased is a brother, Joseph; and two sisters, Edna Backs and Mary Ann Waters.

She was a member of the St. Bernard Church in Burkettsville, the Ladies Sodality of the church and the Daughters of Isabella. She managed the Harrisville Grain Company and the Maria Stein Grain Company. She was also the executive director of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Center in Celina.

Funeral Mass is at the church.
