Harlan O. Ashley, 58, died at 12:05 a.m. Sunday in the Mercy Hospital at Urbana. He had been a patient there for 14 days.
Funeral services were held at the home and at Sibley Methodist Episcopal church with the Rev. Chester Sheldon officiating.
He was born April 26, 1890, near Sibley a son of Ellis D. and Minnie Shaefer Ashley. He married Anna Nelson Peterson, March, 1918.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Lawless of Strawn; three grandchildren; a sister and brother, Elizabeth Ashley of Gibson City and Amos W. Ashley of Sibley; three nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ashley was preceeded in death by an infant son, his parents, two brothers and an Infant sister.
He served in W. W. I.
