A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she retired as a machine operator with Q.C. Apparel, and she also had worked at Buster Brown. She was a member of Speedwell Baptist Church.
The daughter of the late James Oscar and Bertha Morrison Ashe, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Dale Ashe and Charles Lee Ashe; and one sister, Katherine Deitz.
Surviving are three sisters, Barbara Mills and Hazel O. Ashe, both of Speedwell, and Violet Mae Connor, of Landrum, S.C.; two brothers, Milas Ashe, of Moncks Corner, S.C., and Johnny C. Ashe, of Speedwell.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at MeltonRiddle Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Terry Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in HooperSpeedwell Cemetery.
