Lloyd John Arndt Jr.

Private services are planned for
Lloyd John Arndt Jr., 44, of Tem-
ple.
He died Wednesday at a Tem-
ple hospital.
He had been a resident of Bell
County for the past 22 years. He
was a Vietnam War vereran and a
certified auto mechanic.
Survivors are his mother, Dor-
othy Smith of Iowa; one son,
Byron Arndt of Temple; one
daughter, Jessica Arndt of Tem-
ple; one brother, Cyrus Arndt of
Iowa; and two sisters, Diana
Anderson and Neoma Smidt, both
of Iowa.
Harper-Talasek Funeral Home
in Temple is in charge of arrange-
ments.
Memorials may be made to the
Temple Animal Control Center.

The body was cremated.
Inurnment services will be
held at a later date at the
Mt. Zion Garden of Memory in
Temple.

was born on March 25, 1953
at Mercy Hospital in
Mason City, Iowa, the son of
Lloyd John Arndt Sr., &
Dorothy A. {Bebee} Arndt of
Nora Springs, Iowa.

He attended schools
Nora Springs, Iowa.

He married Rita Hayes
in 1974. They were
divorced in 1983.

Survivors include two children,
Jessica & Byron Arndt.
Temple, Texas; his mother
Dorothy Smith & her husband,
Roland R., Mason City, Iowa;
two sisters,
Mrs. Neal {Deanna} Anderson,
Plymouth, Iowa, &
Mrs. Ray {Neoma} Smith, of
Grafton, Iowa, one brother,
Cyrus Arndt & his wife Cathy,
Plymouth, Iowa;
three step-sisters,
one step brother; &
nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death
by both grandparents,
his Dad in 1977, &
one sister in 1984.
