ELLEN GADDY ANGELILLO
WEAVERVILLE–In the early morning hours of Saturday, October 4, 2008, Ellen peacefully went home to be with the Lord with her two loving daughters at her side.
Ellen was born March 25, 1929 in Buncombe County and was a resident of Southington, Conn. for a number of years before returning to Weaverville in 1963. She was formerly employed at A.B. Emblem and later at Asheville Mfg. A member of Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church, Ellen enjoyed her church, cooking and spending time with her family. She was the daughter of the late Finley and Rosa Wyatt Gaddy and wife of the late Augustine Angelillo, Sr. who died in 1969. Also preceding her in death were her son, Augustine "Jack" Angelillo, Jr., sister, Mary Jo Edwards and brothers, Daniel and Clyde Gaddy.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Hunter and husband Randy and Rose Garrison and husband Dan all of Weaverville; sisters, Loraine Hunt of Southington, Polly Dodd and Louise Penland both of Weaverville and Evelyn Randolph of Hendersonville; brother, Edward Gaddy of Weaverville and grandson, Anthony Garrison.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with her nephew, Rev. Stephen Penland officiating. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service at the funeral home.
Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
