IDA ANDERTON Ida LaVar Springer Anderton, age 84, of Cedarview, passed away September 30, 2015 at the Sr. Villa from complications of a fall. She was born January 27, 1931 in Lapoint, to Roy Joseph and Adelion MaryEtta Davis Springer. She married Shelby Gail Anderton, June 4, 1947 in Ioka, their marriage was solemnized May 10, 1986 in the Provo LDS Temple. He died April 22, 2011. In her early years she like to play the guitar and sing for her children. She was very organized and meticulous in keeping records, photos and family history. She was secretary for the Cedarview Cemetery for many years and did an outstanding job in keeping things in order. She really enjoyed camping, fishing and just being in the outdoors. She loved to garden and pretty much canned everything she raised. She was a very good cook and her homemade bread was just wonderful. She was very talented seamstress and enjoyed needle work. Oft times you would see her riding in the truck with Gail and patiently waiting for him to complete a task, with her embroidery. She did some very lovely things with her needle and thread. She was a extremely hard worker who stayed busy. Most times you would find her working right along side Gail in anything he was doing. Ida loved her family dearly. One of the greatest joys of her life was pitching in and helping them in any way she could. She was a wonderful care giver for her husband when his health failed. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Raymond) Allen, Whiterocks; son Kim A (Sharrol) Anderton, Roosevelt , 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, brothers Charles (Mary) Springer , Roy D Shorty (Betty) Springer, Roosevelt; sister, Carol (Bud ) Felter, Vernal; Merle (Boyd) Powell, Cedarview; Rolleen (Danny)Bird, Bluebell; and a sister- in-law, Euince Springer, Ft. Duchesne. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gail, son Kerby, brother Dwight Springer, sisters Lela May Springer and Loretta Springer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Neola LDS Chapel. Viewings will be held on Friday evening at the Hullinger Mortuary from 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church 1 hour prior. Burial in the Cedarview Cemetery.
