John R Alexander, 88, 23 North French Street, formerly of Dugger, died at 1:50pm Saturday in Mary Sherman Hospital.
He was a member of the Dugger Church of Christ and the Sullivan Odd Fellows Lodge.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edna Goodman, Dugger and Mrs. Bernice Hall, Greenbush, Mich.; three sons, Ivan, Sullivan, and Wayne and Frank, both of Dugger; a foster son, Robert Burch, Greensboro, N.C.; 10 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Dugger Church of Christ Brother Maurice Clymore officiating, with burial in the Dugger Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Alexander Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Alexander's wife, Zella, preceded him in death in 1949. One son, Basil, died in 1940. Jan 27 1968 Sullivan Daily Times
