Son of Ruel Aldrich Jr. and his 2nd wife Mary Ann Torrey.

Lynne "Spot" Aldrich lived on his parents farm 1/4 mile south of East Mitchell on the Old Red Ball Road.

He was never married and had no known children.

Research credit: Carol Clifford Horrigan, a relative.

Additional commentary from Steve McRorie, relative to Lynne "Spot" Aldrich added Feb. 23,2009:

Hello,
Lynne S Aldrich is my second great Uncle. I have a couple short tales to share.
His later life was spent somewhat as a hermit with other people bringing food to his home. Upon the death of his mother and after her funeral, Lynne drove mourners away from his home at the point of a gun (story as related by my grandmother who received a small sum from his estate). He was interested in photography, but the family has no photo's he took and very few photo's taken of him. At one point he worked in a bank. And finally, he was not buried in the Aldrich section of the cemetery, but instead was buried near the maintenance shed for the cemetery. I presume, a pauper's grave.
One of my aunts is planning a trip to Iowa this summer and may stop by to look for his headstone and take a photo to include on the Findagrave site. I do have one other photo of Lynne standing with another relative (Edwin J Aldrich, Civil War Veteran) that I am waiting for professional scanning, and will add that to the listing at a later date.

Later,
Steve McRorie
