Bio

I am the great great grandson of Henry and Sarah Ann MacRorie. Henry immigrated to this country in 1849 and Sarah in 1851. My great grandfather (Albert McRorie) operated the store in Brownville, Iowa and also acted as postmaster until the post office was moved. Albert dropped the "a" from the name MacRorie to better blend in with the predominently Irish members of the community that came to his store. Alberts single son, Henry McRorie moved to Sandstone Minnesota with his family and worked as a prison guard at the Penitentary there. He later moved the family to Tacoma Washington. All of his children are surviving and living up and down the west coast from California to Washington.

I am also the great grandson of Elvis and Bertie McCormick, who brought their family out to Washington State.

I am currently living in Oregon and working as a Maintenance Worker for the US Forest Service. My wife came pre-loaded with children and we have not had anymore, but raised those already born.

I have specialized in maintenance/mechanic type work, as a helicopter mechanic in the Air Force, an auto mechanic at various service stations, an industrial millwright in the Aluminum Industry, a maintenance worker for the US Fish & Wildlife Service, and now as a maintenance worker for the US Forest Service.
