The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Russell Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
Mr. Ackerman was born Feb 3, 1898, in Honey Hill, a son of Robert Samuel Ackerman and Ann Morris Ackerman. He was a member of Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are a son, Marvia Lee Ackerman of Orangeburg; a daughter, Beulah Lindsey of Hartford, Ky.; a stepson, Charles Fletcher Allen of Charleston; a stepdaughter, Maxine Clark of John's Island; and a brother, Lawrence Ackerman of McClellanville.
