Mrs. Martha Lois Abbott, 77, of Caruthersville, died Saturday at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital. Born January 20, 1910, in Finley, Tenn., she was the daughter of Robert Finley and Marty Turnbow. She attended Cottonwood Point School and was a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, John Joe Abbott of Caruthersville and Robert James and Billy Ray Abbott, both of Florissant; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Martha Spencer of Grants Pass, Ore., Mrs. Betty Ruth Tocco of Ferguson and Mrs. Pamela Jane Johnkoski of Salem, Ill.; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Latta Abbott.
Services were Monday at 11 a.m. at H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville, the Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating, with burial in Maple Cemetery.
