COLUMBUS - Nola Ellen Brayfield, 97, of Columbus, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at her home after an illness.
She was born July 19, 1906, in Faulkner, to Claude and Anna Rebecca (Wantland) Dalby.
She attended schools in Faulkner and also attended the Faulkner Christian Church.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Pursel Chapter 110 of Columbus and the White Shrine of Jerusalem of Miami, Okla.
She also was a member of the Cardin Baptist Church in Cardin, Okla.
She married Johnie Brayfield on Aug. 23, 1924, in Columbus. He preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1984.
Survivors include one daughter, Anna Clara Brayfield of Columbus; one sister, Mary Lawrence of College Grove, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Mabel Weir, Ernestine Davis and Vera Martin.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Murdock Funeral Home in Columbus with the Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in the Fly Creek Cemetery.
