Mrs. Clemens Anhalt, aged 57, died early last Thursday afternoon at her home, following a lingering illness.
The deceased, nee Alma Gast, was born Nov. 27, 1889 in Germany, the daughter of Carl and Henrietta Gast, and came to this country with her parents 7 years later. The family resided in Kiel for a short time, and then located on a farm in the town of Eaton.
Oct. 22, 1912, she was united in marriage with Clemens Anhalt at the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church here. Before moving to Kiel in 1940, the Anhalt family resided on the Anhalt homestead farm in the town of Eaton for many years.
Survivors include her husband; 3 daughters, Mrs. Gilbert (Florena) Schnell of Sheboygan, Mrs. Clarence (Hildegarde) Lemke of Sherwood, and Mrs. Frank (Loretta) Johst, residing north of Kiel; 3 sons, Frederick and Jerome of Sheboygan, and Alfred at home; 9
grandchildren; 2 brothers, Otto Gast of Milwaukee and Paul Gast of Brillion and a sister, Mrs. C.H. Schroeder of this city.
