Adrian L. Benjamin, 75, of Burlington, NY died peacefully at home on May 2, 2011. He was born April 16, 1936 in Burlington, the son of Murry C. and Florence L. (Stickles) Benjamin. He married Martha G. Wagner June 8, 1957 at the Morris Methodist Church with Pastor “Bill” Lyon officiating.
He retired from the DOT Otsego County Highway Department after 41 years of service.
Adrian was always a farmer at heart; his beef cows, his sugar shack and saw mill were part of his life’s fiber. He was a devoted husband, loving father and a true friend to his neighbors.
His wife Martha, of 53 years; his children Jeffrey L. Benjamin ( Sharon), Russell F. Benjamin (Maria); his grandchildren Corey, Patrick, Nicholas & Samantha Benjamin; five great grandchildren; his siblings Mildred Stebbins, Dorothy Bolton, Kenneth Benjamin & Richard Benjamin survive Adrian.
Adrian was predeceased by his brothers Charles, Orlo, Sidney, Murry & Donald Benjamin; his sisters, Ada Marie Benjamin, Venona Benjamin and Carrie Bookhout .
Calling hours are from Noon till 2:00 at the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston on Friday May 6, 2011. Funeral services will follow calling hours with Rev. Barry Davis officiating.
Interment will follow at Burlington Green Cemetery.
