John Dale Acklin, 74
A Graveside Service for John Dale Acklin of Norfork, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Curtis Acklin Cemetery, with Pastor Ray Lamb officiating.
John passed away May 7, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 74. He was born September 28, 1938, in Culp, Arkansas, the son of Theodore and Ethel Berry Acklin. He married Hazel Hall on January 21, 1958, at Rural Baxter County, Arkansas and worked in logging and farming. John was a lifetime resident of Norfork and enjoyed fishing on the river, being outside, going to swimming holes and animals.
John is survived by his wife, Hazel Acklin of Norfork, AR; son, Scott (Samantha) Acklin of Calico Rock, AR three grandchildren, Kristin, Haley, and Kennedi; one great-grandchild, Addisyn and sister, Nora (Lincoln) Simmerman of Lone Rock, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to Curtis Acklin Cemetery Fund.
