Mrs. Shirley Williamson Allmond, age 72 of Vidalia, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 in the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native Emanuel County, living in Oak Park, residing in Brunswick for thirty years, and moved to Vidalia in 2000. She was the former owner of Arco Pawn Shop in Brunswick, a member of the Pine Haven Baptist Church in Brunswick, and was preceded in death by her husband, Quay Allmond, and a brother, James Lampp.
Mrs. Allmond is survived by one daughter, Wanda Daniel and her husband Joe of Lyons, two sons, Ronnie Williamson and his wife Teresa of Santa Claus and Deron Williamson of Lyons, two sisters, Burnise and her husband Jim of Warner Robins and Melba Lassen of Dearborn Height, Michigan, three grandchildren, Jennifer Cloud, Katelin Collier, and Colby Whitaker, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, June 7th at 11:00 am in the Fowlers Cemetery with Reverend Thomas Barnard officiating near Lothair.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
