Mrs. Mildred Campbell Baker born November 13, 1919 departed this life on April 22, 2010 at the age of 90 years. She was born at Yerkes, Kentucky the daughter of the late William Denver Campbell and the late Doshia Ellen Wooton . By occupation she was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. Mildred enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Big Willard Church of Christ.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents: William and Doshia Campbell; husband: Beecher Baker, two brothers: Earl and Schuyler "Red" Campbell, two sisters: Merlene Sullivan and Blanche Bowling. She leaves surviving the following relatives: five sons; Marcus Baker & Linda of Elmwood, TN, Donald Ray Baker of Hyden, KY Jerry baker of Busy, Ky, Lowell Baker & Helen of Busy, Ky Marvin Baker & Shirley of Hyden, Ky, four daughters: Evelyn Bridgeford of Hamilton, OH, Barbara Rose Colwell & A.C. Of Busy, Ky, Doshia Ellen Baker & Forester of Demossville, KY and Phyllis Baker Shelton of Hamilton, OH, one brother: Raleigh Campbell of TN, one sister: Molly Bowman of Hamilton, OH. Mrs. Mildred Campbell Baker is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and a host of other treasured relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Mildred Campbell Baker will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2010 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel Hyden, KY., with Clarence Howard and Wayne Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery at Busy, Ky with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
