Ray Bennett, 60, 711 Mack Street, Columbia, KY, passed away suddenly, Thursday, September 4, 2003, at 7:15 a.m. at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room, in Columbia, KY.
The funeral service will be Sunday, September 7, 2003, at 1:00 p.m., at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, with Rev. Dean Roach officiating.
He was the son of Leoner Blaydes Bennett, Columbia, KY, who survives; and the late Riley Thomas Bennett of Adair County.
He is also survived by the following:
Three sons, Chris Bennett and Johnny Bennett, Edmonton, KY, and Ricky Bennett, Smiths Grove, KY
One daughter, Melissa Mae Bennett, Columbia, KY
Four brothers, Coy Bennett, Columbia; Chester Bennett, Glasgow; Carol Wayne Bennett, Columbia; and Raymond Bennett, Columbia
Four sisters, Earline George, Tennessee; Rosalie Bennett, Columbia; Mayrine Jeffries, Nicholasville, KY; and Mary Louise Rainwater, Columbia
and his longtime companion, Ethel Bybee, Columbia.Mr. Bennett was a former automobile mechanic.
Interment will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery.
The family requests visitation after 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia.
