As boys Gary and his brothers dug a 'swimming pool' in their yard with spoons, which their father promptly made them fill in so their milk cow wouldn't break a leg.
Gary was fascinated with electronics from an early age and majored in mathematics and physics at Phillips University in Enid OK. He joined the Air Force specializing in communications, served in Vietnam, rose to the rank of Colonel and earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University. He died of cancer in San Antonio TX. His wife and their 2 children and 5 grandchildren are still living.
Rest in Peace Uncle Gary.
