From The Reading Eagle, Sept. 17, 1924:

David Q. Angstadt, former hotelman, who died at his home at Stoney Creek Mills of diabetes, aged 49 years, 3 months, and 27 days, was at one time proprietor of the Black Bear Inn. He also had several other stands.

He was a member of Encampment No. 1, Progressive Americans, and Frieden's Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Olivia, and these children: Edna, wife of Allen [Ammon] Mull, Reading; Mabel, wife of Wayne Barto, St. Lawrence; Verna, wife of Howard Hahn, Reading; Ester, Carrie, Helen, Ada, Elmer and Victor, at home and Albert, of Reiffston. These brothers and sisters remain: Emma, of Philadelphia; Amelia, wife of Peter Edris, Norristown; Katie, wife of Samuel Wolf, Hyde Park; Hannah, wife of Harry King, Reading; Harry, of Rosedale; Frank, of Lyons; Robert, of Reading; and George, of Neversink.
