ODUM -- Emory L. Ammons, 83, died Feb. 11 at Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center. He was born in Wayne County and was a member of Odum Church of God. He was retired from Rayonier and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Bernise S. Ammons of Odum; three daughters and sons-in-law, June and Ernie Adams, Dale and Carroll Chadwick and Cindy and Larry Holloway, all of Odum; a sister, Evelyn A. Green of Jesup; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Sunday at Odum Church of God, burial in Odum City Cemetery with military honors. -Savannah Now, Feb 2000
