"Ward Talbot Alger, aged 49 of Edmeston, died Sunday in Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta. He was born in West Edmeston, the son of Arthur and Beatrice (Talbot) Alger, and attended Leonardsville schools. He married Jean Tilford in 1936. He was a Mason and a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Bard of Oneonta, and Mrs. Edythe Grasse of Woodside, L. I., and a brother, Paul Alger of Leonardsville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. on Thursday from the Houk-Johnston Funeral Home in Edmeston, with the Rev. Leonard N. Davis of Edmeston, officiating.
