Leo Edward Ammons of Rt. 2 Idabel, Okla., died there Wednesday at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Norwood-Welch Funeral Home of Idabel. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hopewell Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Ayers and the Rev. Wayne Higgenbottham officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home of Paris will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Ammons was born Aug 23, 1919 in Paris. He was the son of the late V. S. and Maude Wilkerson Ammons.
He married Ruth Adams March 25, 1946.
He was a veteran of World War II. He had lived in Idabel since 1967, having been employed as a salesman for the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. there. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Idabel.
