☆~ VETERAN, WORLD WAR II (1939-1945) ~☆

Son of Drury and Nellie (Roberts) Breazile. He received his formal education in Auburn, NE. Gene married Nov 1, 1941 to Barbara Jean Porter in Rock Port, Missouri. they made their home in Auburn where they were blessed with one son, Rodney.

Gene entered the U.S. Army in Aug. of 1943 and served in the European Theater during WWII. He received his honorable discharge in Feb. of 1946 and returned to Auburn, NE.

He was known as "Beanie" by most of his life. It is what most of his family called him. He worked 22 years for the Danny Dare Factory in Auburn. and was employed as a painter at Auburn Consolidated Industries until his retirement.

In February of 2006 Gene and Barbara moved to Belle Terrace in Tecumseh, NE. It was there he died at the age of 85 years, one month and 19 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and five brothers.

He was survived by his wife Barbara, son and wife Rodney and Donna Breazile of Sterling, NE.; Granddaughters Christina and husband Bob Gilbert, Kimberly and husband Jeff Woodcock, Tammie and husband Larry Stolz and Lori and husband Jeff Robinson. 11 great grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter.

A memorial service was held July 17, 2006 at Hemmingsen Funeral Home Chapel in Auburn. Interment of Ashes was at the Bedford Cemetery near Howe, NE.
