Mr. William Silas Reynolds, son of the late William Edward Reynolds and Alice Bennett Reynolds was born 22 Oct 1896 in Green Co. and departed this life 22 Oct 1896 in Green Co. and departed this life at 10:45 pm 1 Feb 1983 at the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, Ky. He was 86 years, 3 months and 10 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Luria Edna Vaughn on 11 Jan 1914 who preceded him in death 27 No 1973. To this union was born 6 sons and 3 daughters: William Grady Reynolds and Ivo Reynolds, both of Ind; Durward Reynolds, Vontress Reynolds and Ray W. Reynolds, all of Louisville, Ky; Leon Reynolds, Greensburg; Virgie Wright, Louisville; Zella Judd and Katheryn Loy, both of Greensburg. Mr. Reynolds united in marriage to Eula Landis on 17 Nov 1973 who still survives. He is also survived by 2 step-daughter; Mrs. Kathleen Judd, Louisville, Ky. and Orthelia Garcia, Ind. He is survived by 1 sister, Mrs. Bessie Parker of Louisville, Ky. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, where funeral services were conducted Fri. 4 Feb 1983 at 1:00 pm with burial in the New Salem Cem. Rev. Paul Lambert and Rev. Jerry Judd officiated. Pallbearers were: Roger Reynolds, Britt Reynolds, Todd Reynolds, Jackie Reynolds, Mike Judd, Billy Wright, Gary Larimore, Stephen Judd, and Bobby Joe Judd. Honorary pallbearers were: Earnest Compton, Roy “Ike” Dangerfield, Clay Wright, Ray Mays, Fred Mays, Lemuel Lobb, Rev. Tommy Wright, Rev. James Huff and R.B. Wright.
