Born in Crabtree, he lived most of his life in this area. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a track supervisor for Souther Pacific Company.
He is survived by his widow, Maria; sons Larry and Jim, both of Albany; daughters, Mrs. Linda Baker, Mrs. Sharon Pugh, Mrs. Shirley Higgins, all of Albany, and Cindy Sumpter of Tangent; six grandchildren; brothers Claud R. of Lincoln City, John R. of Richmond, California, Don W., Beaverton.
Services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday in Fisher Mortuary. Interment will be in Twin Oaks Memorial Garden.
