Mrs. Peter Vershaw, 75, of 2318 4th St., Moline, died at 1:15 p.m. yesterday in Moline Lutheran Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow in the Wendt Brothers Funeral Home, Moline, where friends may call. The Rev. Charles Willey, pastor of Moline Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memoral Estate Cemetery.
Mrs. Vershaw, the former Anna M. Johnson, was born Feb. 20, 1880 in Kisa, Sweden, the daughter of Gustave and Louise Johnson. She came to the United States in 1885.
In 1898, she was married to Peter Verdegem in Rock Island. He died June 12, 1915.
She was married to Peter Vershaw on Oct. 30, 1923, in Moline. Mrs. Vershaw was a member of First Christian Church of Moline.
Surviving are the widower; two sons, Clifford Verdegem, Rock Island, and Kenneth Verdegem, Los Angeles, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Guy Hartwick and Tom Barton, both of Moline, and Mrs. Jess Cowman, Cleveland, Ohio; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Ed Johnson, Moline; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Stoaks, Colton, Calif.; Mrs. Eva Haines, Homeland, Calif.; Mrs. Tillie Phelps, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Sylvia Jacquin, Milwaukee, Wis.; Three stepsons, Tom and Peter Vershaw, both of Moline, and Harry Vershaw, of East Moline; three step-daughters, Mrs. Ernest Hoglund, and Mrs. Wendell Jones, both of Moline, and Mrs. Joe Braden, Davenport.
Her parents and a sister preceded her in death.
