L.B., the son of John and Ura Keahey, was born Nov. 3, 1921 in Crawford. He served in the Navy in 1944. After his discharge he farmed for a few years then went into the Air Force. He made his home in Sayre, where he worked for the State Highway Department until retirement.
He married Helen Mae Rohlfing Jan. 6, 1978 at Crawford, Oklahoma.
L.B. Keahey, 66, of Sayre, died Tuesday Nov 1, 1988 in Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Survivors are: one daughter, Denise Gail Burkhart, of Colorado Springs, CO; one step-son, Raymond Rohlfing, Beatrice, Missouri; five grandsons, Randy, Ronnie, Craig, Scott and Justin; one grand-daughter, Nicole; two great-grandsons, one great granddaughter; five brothers, Vernon, Gerald, and Leon Lee, all of Crawford; Altus, of Whitedeer, Texas; Edwin, of Sayre; two sisters, Lois Painter, Tulia, Texas; and Audrey Rorabough, of San Luis Obispo, CA.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Crawford Magnolia Baptist Church, with A.L. Martin and Tom Woodson officiating. Burial will be in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral service of Sayre.
