Molly/Mollie (Mary) Green was born on 4 February/September 1867 in Cocke County and died on 11 September 1948 at the age of 81in Knoxville, Tennessee due to “Pneumonia brought on by fracture, head of neck of left femur. She was buried at Union Cemetery in Cocke County by Maloy Funeral Home. Informant, Lloyd Green, lists Wade Green as her father, but mother is not listed. Molly’s husband is listed as L.C. Cash (Death Certificate 19793) She was Nancy Belle Green's half-sister.

She was said to have been raped by Confederate soldiers while her father was serving in the 8th Tennessee, but not likely seeing that she was born in 1867. She had the child but I am not sure who the child is. She married Lorenze C. Cash after 1913 as his first wife Millie A. Lovell Cash died at this time. Lorenze was born on 17 August 1848 in South Carolina and died at the age of 75 from pneumonia on 8 January 1922 in Kingston, Roane County, Tennessee. Lloyd Green, Sr. was Molly's son according to Miss Lucille Green, as was Willie Green and Dessie Green Gregg. I’m not sure who the fourth child is unless it is the Virgie Green living in the household of William and Sallie Green O’Neil.
