June I. (Hilbert) Handwerk, 81, of Schnecksville, died Friday, November 18, 2011 in her home. She was the wife of the late Steward A. Handwerk, Calvin H. Shook and Eddie F. Shook. Born in Allentown, January 27, 1930, June was the daughter of the late Oscar Frank and Bessie Mae (Kosman) Hilbert. June was a member of the Schnecksville Grange # 1684 and a life member of the Community Fire Company #1, Schnecksville. Survivors: Children, Diane R. Fries at home, Susan J. wife of James H. Soldridge, Jr. of Schnecksville, Michael C. Shook at home; sisters, Lillian M. Baer of Naples, Florida, Eleanor E. Stettler of Allentown, six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; predeceased by a daughter, Nancy L. Metzger to whom she is now reunited. Service: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. LaVerne W. Passman officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Highland Memorial Park, Cemetery, Allentown.
