Steward A. "Stew" Handwerk, 50, of Schnecksville died Tuesday at his place of business in Schnecksville.
Handwerk was the husband of June I. (Hilbert) Handwerk. They were married 21 years last December.
He owned and operated Stew's Tire Service since 1984.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of Herman S. and Mary E.R. (Hollenbach (Kistler) Handwerk of Schnecksville.
He was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neffs.
He was a Navy veteran and a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in forestry.
He was a past assistant steward of the Schnecksville Grange.
Survivors: Wife and parents; son, Michael C., at home; brother, Richard H. of Somerville, N.J.; sister, Kathryn E., wife of Stanley Bruton of Neptune, N.J.; stepdaughters, Nancy L. Metzger of Allentown, and Diane R. Fries and Susan J., wife of James H. Soldridge Jr., both of Schnecksville, and five step-grandchildren..
