John Marsh Dies Suddenly at his Home in St. Joseph

St. Joseph, Ill., May 1. – John Marsh, St. Joseph's oldest citizen, died suddenly at 6:45 o'clock Sunday morning. He had been indisposed a few days, but his condition was not regarded as alarming. He was up, walking about the house, only a few minutes before his death, which is attributed to general debility, due to old age.
Mr. Marsh was born February 5, 1829, in England. He leaves his widow and five children, several grandchildren, also great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the residence at 2 o'clock Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Jesse L. Murrell. Interment will be made in the Patterson cemetery, south of town.
